Over 300 monitors and 60 big screens, fed by six satellite dishes, deliver the racing action as well as the viewing of major sports events. Designed as a simulcast-wagering center, Trackside OTB was developed with the patron in mind. Seven separate areas were created to fill the the tastes and desires of racing fans ranging from the seasoned expert to the first-time visitor. Each of the Trackside's areas offers a comfortable, convenient atmosphere ideal for pari-mutuel wagering and watching the big games.

Whirlaway's
Named after the 1941 Triple Crown winner, this area combines comfort and style in an upscale environment, and features an entertaining array of audio/visual technology. A huge 9 x 12' screen, eight 6' x 8' screens, and sixteen 35-foot monitors are positioned to provide a spectacular view of the action. Patrons can choose seating in one of the tiered rows of executive-style workstations, at a floor-level table, or take in the races from the massive, 68-foot bar - Louisville's longest!! Whirlaway's includes eight mutuel windows, plus a full dining menu and complete table service.

Court Of Champions
The largest of the seven areas, the Court of Champions features a combination of executive style workstations and tables. Catch all the action on one of 75 big screens.

Mezzanine
This area offers fixed, stadium-style seating situated in front of a mammoth viewing wall featuring ten 6' x 8' screens. It also offers seating for 1,528.

Players Row
Here's a handicapper's dream, complete with executive-appointed workstations, plus additional seating, positioned in front of a huge 6' x 8' screen.

Sportsview (Non Smoking)
This section features the ultimate combination of sports programming and racing. It includes 93 theatre-style seats situated in front of a gigantic 70-inch wide-screen system that brings you the day's biggest game. Four 35-inch wide-screen monitors display the races or other sports events. Automated mutuel machines in the area provide the utmost in convenience.

Warner's Corner
This area is named in honor of the late Warner L. Jones, Jr., a member of Churchill Downs' Board of Directors for 50 years, and Chairman of the Board from 1984 to 1992. Deli-style concessions, beverage service, and mutuel windows are available, as is seating for 220.

Winn Room (Non-Smoking)
This glass-enclosed VIP area can be reserved for groups, private parties, and other special events. When not used for groups, the area serves as an overflow for Whirlaway's with a seating capacity of 120. The room is named in honor of the late Colonel Matt Winn, general manager of Churchill Downs from 1902 until his death in 1949.

Patio/Beer Garden (seasonal)
This newly created area is a seasonal feature at Trackside. The outdoor area features 12 flat screen televisions and mutuel windows with picnic tables and umbrellas. A children's playground is adjacent to the patio, which also features a concession stand. The Patio/Beer Garden allows you to enjoy the outdoors while watching and wagering on great racing from a large menu of simulcast signals.
